Zipline De Kuip
For the seasonal opening of Feyenoord, we were able to do something truly special: building a zip line inside De Kuip. Right in the middle of a stadium where everything normally revolves around football, the zip line became the opening act of the show. The presenter, a former Dutch national team international, entered the stadium via the zip line and landed on the stage to open the festival. For the audience, a spectacular moment; for us, a project that required a great deal of careful planning beforehand.
Building in De Kuip
Because building in De Kuip is anything but standard. In particular, calculating the forces acting on the stadium required extra attention. The loads are complex, the space is limited, and safety is paramount at all times. Everything had to be right down to the smallest detail, without making any compromises on the experience.
Together with Stadion De Kuip and the municipality of Rotterdam, we worked through the process step by step. By collaborating closely, communicating openly, and calculating every possible scenario, we ultimately arrived at a solution that was both technically sound and feasible within the event’s schedule.
The end result was a zip line that blended seamlessly into the show. A brief moment in the spotlight, supported by extensive preparation behind the scenes. For us—and for the audience—an unforgettable stunt we are very proud of!
